On May 25th, George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis,one in a series of brutal attacks on black Americans by law enforcement and sparked a series of national protests in support of Black Lives Matter.
There is great power in numbers. The power to be heard, the power to be seen, the power to make change. Today, we are standing together in the streets, we are making noise in all five boroughs, and we are gathering in historic numbers -- to honor the lives who have unjustly suffered and protest against the mistreatment of black Americans throughout our communities, our cities, and our country.
